Covenant Community Church…
Sharing faith, restoring life, praying for you “…I will show you my faith by what I do.” – James 2:18
Our vision for the foreseeable future is to emphasize only three activities, to strive to be effective in these three endeavors: to be a church sharing faith, restoring life and praying for you.
We need a passion to see lost people found. We are equipping ourselves to share our faith comfortably, authentically, naturally, confidently. We share our faith in dependence upon the Holy Spirit for leading, discernment and power.
We are also involved in a ministry of restoration. We help people who cannot help themselves, to repair and restore their homes to livable condition. We go out in our community and bring relief from discomfort and frustration as we fix broken things, as we clean up, fix up, build up a person’s home.
And we have a method of outreach called “Drive Through Prayer,” where we pray for anyone who stops by, for any need at all. We love the privilege of taking someone and their needs to the Father in prayer.
This is the picture we have in our heads, of how our local church will be when we are fully fulfilling our calling to be a church sharing faith, restoring life and praying for people.
We envision a church body filled with compassion for the lost. We envision ourselves sharing the gospel comfortably, with confidence, naturally, not awkwardly, not with embarrassment, not bashfully.
We envision a church filled with people excited about their newfound faith. We will all be anxious to dive into the Scriptures and engage in Bible discussions expecting to discover new truth and new reasons to love and adore our Lord.
We envision a community of Christians with exciting stories to tell, of the great things God is doing in answer to our prayers.
We envision ourselves, all of us, trusting in Christ radically, that is, totally devoted to him, totally dying to ourselves as he did, totally giving ourselves away as he did.
We envision living joy-filled lives regardless of the temporal circumstances through which we are led every week as disciples of Jesus.
Come along with us as we seek to fulfill this vision.
