An Outreach and Mercy Initiative of Covenant Community Church
About one Saturday each month, the entire congregation goes on a mission trip into our community. We all pay $10 or $20 for the mission trip, depending on the cost of the project. We go and repair someone’s home. The homeowner whom we serve will be either a single mother, someone with a disability, or perhaps an elderly person or couple who has significant needs in their home which they are unable to repair themselves. We bring in the materials and the tools, everything necessary to complete the work. The homeowner is asked to provide some bottled water and maybe help serve lunch for the team (although often we bring our own food).
